Juniper Security Director Installation Overview

Juniper Security Director is the next-generation, on-premises management solution for Juniper Networks® SRX Series Firewalls and Juniper Networks® vSRX Virtual Firewalls. This is a single-node deployment.

Install Using VMware vSphere

You can install Juniper Security Director by downloading the open virtual application (OVA) and the software bundle (.tgz) from the Juniper Software Downloads page. Use the OVA file to deploy the VM using VMware vSphere. After the OVA deployment is complete, power on the VM to automatically install the software bundle.

Install Using KVM

You can deploy Juniper Security Director rapidly using KVM. To get started, download the automation software (.bin) and the software bundle (.tgz) from the Juniper Software Downloads page. Then run the automation software and follow the terminal instructions to deploy the Juniper Security Director VM.

Install Using Microsoft Azure

Use the ARM Template in Azure

You can deploy the Juniper Security Director VM using an Azure Resource Manager (ARM) template on the Azure portal. To get started, download both the virtual hard disk (.vhd) and the software bundle (.tgz) file. Next, create a software image using the VHD file. Finally, use the ARM template to deploy the Juniper Security Director VM.
