Management Options
This topic provides information about the different options available to manage the MX204, MX301, MX304, MX10004, and MX10008 routers.
You can manage the Juniper MX204, MX301, MX304, MX10004, and MX10008 routers using several the Junos OS CLI or Juniper Mist™.
MX204, MX301, MX304, MX10004, and MX10008 support Junos OS but only MX301 and MX10004 support Junos OS Evolved.
Routing Director
The Juniper® Routing Director provides end-to-end transport network automation and simplifies the adoption of network automation for device, network, and service life cycles from Day 0 to Day 2. Routing Director helps network operations teams improve productivity and efficiency by automating repetitive, error-prone manual tasks and workflows.
Juniper Apstra
For remote configuration and monitoring purposes, you can use Juniper Apstra™, which is a data center automation and management platform. Using Apstra, you can automate the network design, deployment, and operation of data center fabrics. It uses agent profiles to manage MX Series routers.
