Edit a Network Implementation Plan

You must a user with the Network Admin or Super User role to edit and provision a network implementation plan or a candidate version of a network implementation plan.

Note:

  • You cannot edit a network implementation plan when a device is being onboarded by using that plan.

  • You should not attempt to manually modify the device configuration in the paragon-service-orchestration, jcloud-gnmi-sensors, and jcloud-script configuration groups. The configurations might not work if you modify manually.
To edit a network implementation plan or a candidate version of a plan:
  1. Navigate to Inventory > Device Onboarding > Network Implementation Plan.
    The Network Implementation Plan page appears.
  2. Select a plan or a candidate version of a plan and click Edit (pencil) icon.
  3. Enter values by referring to Add a Network Implementation Plan.
    Note:

    You cannot edit the name of a plan or a candidate version of a plan.
  4. Click Save to save the configuration as a candidate version of a plan.
    You can view the candidate on the Network Implementation Plan page. The Pending Changes column displays Yes for a candidate.
  5. Select the candidate version of the network implementation and click More > Commit Changes to commit the candidate.

    Alternatively, you can click More > Discard Changes to discard the candidate.

  6. Click Provision to push the configuration to devices and provision the plan.
    Provisioning an edited plan ensures that the edits are applied to the devices included in the plan.
  7. (Optional) Click Export to view the progress of the updates being made to the devices.
