Known Issues

This section lists the known issues in Juniper Routing Assurance.

• Onboarding of routers fails when the devices are configured to use a management VRF. The outbound SSH connectivity used by Juniper Routing Assurance defaults to the inet.0 routing table instead of the intended management routing instance, preventing the router from establishing the required connection during onboarding.

  Workaround: Configure outbound SSH to use the appropriate routing instance before onboarding the router.

  Run set system outbound-ssh routing-instance mgmt_junos

  Replace mgmt_junos with the routing-instance name configured in your environment.

• For MX304 routers running Junos OS release 22.4R3.25 or earlier, Throughput SLE reports auto-negotiation failure. This is because auto-negotiation is not supported in Junos OS releases before 23.1.

  Workaround: Upgrade the router to Junos OS release 23.1 or later. Auto negotiation feature was introduced in Junos OS release 23.1.
