kLWC Installation Overview

The kLWC package, when installed in a KVM environment, consists of several files that work together to configure, deploy, and operate the kLWC instance.

During installation, a dedicated directory is created for each kLWC virtual machine instance. This directory contains the following components:

• params.env template file

  A configuration template that includes the kLWC serial number and other package-related information.

• Params image

  An auxiliary image used to pass user defined configuration values, such as network settings, into the virtual machine during deployment.

• kLWC QCOW2 image

  A VM disk image file in .qcow2 format, typically prefixed with klwc. This image runs the kLWC software and performs data collection.

• Installation properties JSON file

  A JSON file that stores the configuration parameters provided by the user during installation for that specific kLWC instance.
