The following terms are used throughout this document.

Term	Definition
Apstra Edge	An on-premises container that runs on the Apstra VM and connects the Data Center Director environment to HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance via a secure registration key.
Blueprint	A logical model within Apstra that represents a network fabric design, including all devices, cabling, and policies.
Configlet	A reusable configuration template in Apstra that can be deployed across one or more blueprints to apply consistent settings.
Data Center Director	An intent-based networking software for data centre automation and assurance.
Flow enrichment	The process of adding contextual metadata to network flow data to provide richer insight into application behaviour and traffic patterns.
Flow server	The Apstra component responsible for collecting, processing, and forwarding network flow telemetry.
HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance	A cloud-hosted data centre assurance platform, accessible at dc.ai.juniper.net.
Pre-flight checks	A set of automated checks run by Data Center Assurance at the start of onboarding to validate that prerequisites are correctly configured.
Probe	An Apstra monitoring construct that collects and evaluates specific telemetry data from the network, such as interface counters or device health metrics.
