When you receive a new CTPView server, you must perform
some physical tasks before proceeding.
To prepare a new server for use:
- If you wish to install the server in an equipment rack,
follow the instructions provided in the Rack Installation
Guide that is included with the server.
- Connect a monitor and keyboard to the server.
The server’s serial COM1 port connection has the
following configuration:
Speed—9600 bps
Data bits—8
Parity—none
Stop bits—1
- Connect the server to the appropriate Ethernet network
through the 10/100Base-T port labeled 1.
- Verify that all ground and power connections to the server
chassis are secure. Power on the server and monitor the front panel
LEDs to verify that the server boots properly.
