Enable DHCP Options for HPE Networking Apstra Data Center Director ZTP Server
Starting in Apstra DC Director 6.2, you can enable ZTP with DHCPv6 on your ZTP server. This feature is only available on devices that are running Junos EVO.
Configure DHCP Options
You can configure DHCP options in the /etc/apstra_ztp/ztp.conf file.
You can enable both DHCPv4 and DHCPv6. When both are enabled, the Junos EVO device will request using DHCPv4 first. If the device successfully gets the IP address from the DHCPv4 server, the DHCPv6 request will not be attempted. If the DHCPv4 request fails, the DHCPv6 request will be attempted.
Enable DHCPv4 Options
Configure the DHCPv4 options:
admin@apstra-ztp:~$ cat /etc/apstra_ztp/ztp.conf enable_dhcp_ipv4=1 enable_dhcp_ipv6=0
Enable DHCPv6 Options
Configure the DHCPv6 options:
admin@apstra-ztp:~$ cat /etc/apstra_ztp/ztp.conf enable_dhcp_ipv4=0 enable_dhcp_ipv6=1
Restart ZTP Service
To apply the DHCP options you've configured, restart the ZTP service.
sudo systemctl restart apstra-ztp.service
