QFX5250 Installation Overview

This topic lists the steps that you need to follow to get your QFX5250 up and running.

To install and configure your QFX5250:

1. Unpack your device as described in Unpack the QFX5250 Switch.
2. Install the QFX5250 as follows: device as described in Install the QFX5250 Switch.

   1. To install QFX5250-64OE-L switch on an ORv3 rack, see How to Install QFX5250 Liquid-cooled Switch (2OU) in ORv3 Rack.

3. Connect cables to network devices as described in Connect the QFX5250 Switch to the Network.
4. Connect cables to external devices as described in Connect the QFX5250 Switch to External Devices.
5. Connect the liquid-cooled switch to power as described in Connect the QFX5250 Switch to Power.
6. Perform initial configuration by following the instructions in Configure Junos OS Evolved on the QFX5250 Switch.
